QLEDs (Quantum dot Light-Emitting Diodes)

Quantum Dot (QD) is a small nanoparticle with 2~10nm or less. A significant feature of a quantum dot is that the color indicated by the particle's size when it is applied with light or electric current. It also has high color purity because of its narrow FWHM (Full Width at Half Maximum).

Next-generation Solar Cells

To achieve high cost-effective and efficient solar cells, cost reduction in the existing manufacturing process and science and technology breakthroughs require. 3rd generation solar cells aim to overcome the so-called Shockley Queisser (SQ) limit. The third generation generally refers to non-semiconductor technologies (including polymer cells and biomimetics), quantum dot (QD), tandem/multi-junction cells, and intermediate band solar cells, hot-carrier cells, photon up-conversion, and down-conversion technologies.
